Leather, when used as intended, does not require any special care. An occasional treatment with a special leather care product is all that is needed to keep furniture leather soft and supple.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n

For our nappa leather, we offer a special care emulsion that gently nourishes the leather, protects it from dehydration and refreshes the colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please keep in mind the following basic rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Do not expose your leather furniture to direct sunlight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Maintain a constant humidity level, i.e. never place furniture in front of a radiator or near a stove.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Do not use grease, oil or wax to clean leather. Do not use microfiber cloths.chten.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Never treat the leather surface with commercial cleaning agents (washing-up liquid, all-purpose cleaner, etc.). The leather surface (impregnation\/finish) will be irreparably damaged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Do not use solvents, cleaners, stain removers, turpentine, spirits, floor polish, shoe polish, or similar products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • When in doubt, contact the furniture retailer or leather manufacturer directly for care instructions.
    Remember, you should not try to “polish away” the patina that has developed from using the leather.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Dust<\/strong>: Furniture made of smooth leather may be dusted from time to time with a dry cloth or a cloth moistened by hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Liquid spills:<\/strong> Immediately soak up any spillage with a dry, absorbent paper towel or blotter. Do not rub vigorously, as this will force the spillage through the impregnation into the leather. Many stains will disappear on their own over time. They are literally absorbed into the leather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dried stains:<\/strong> Make a weak neutral soap solution (curd soap) with lukewarm distilled water and wipe the stain with a soft cotton cloth. Gently wipe off the soap solution with a clean, damp cloth (you can also use distilled water). Do not rub too hard so as not to damage the surface of the leather. To prevent the leather from becoming brittle, treat the dried leather with a professional leather conditioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Grease and oil stains:<\/strong> Remove coarse grease stains with a paper towel. Do not treat the stain for the time being. Over time, the stain will be absorbed into the leather and will no longer be visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dust<\/strong>: Vacuum the surface of the nubuck leather with the upholstery nozzle of a vacuum cleaner to prevent lint from sticking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Liquid stains<\/strong>: Liquid spills should be gently blotted up immediately with a dry, absorbent paper towel or blotting pad, never rubbing as the stain will be pressed through the impregnation into the leather. Many stains will disappear completely on their own over time, as they will literally be absorbed into the leather.
    If necessary, use a lint-free cotton cloth and a solution of neutral soap in warm distilled water. Wipe well. When completely dry, a dry terry cloth or brush can be used to gently roughen the area. Then spray with a waterproofing spray to protect the leather surface and make it dirt and stain resistant again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dried stains: <\/strong>Brush and vacuum if possible, then treat again if necessary (see liquid stain treatment).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Grease and oil stains:<\/strong> Remove coarse grease stains with an absorbent paper towel. Do not treat any residue for the time being; over time the stain will be absorbed into the leather and will no longer be visible.
